Hairstyle Picks is a hairstyle and beauty content site built for one purpose: making it easier to find a haircut, color, or style idea that actually fits your hair, your face, and your daily routine.
We started Hairstyle Picks because most hairstyle inspiration online stops at the photo. A style might look great on a model but say nothing about whether it works for fine hair, suits a round face, or holds up without daily heat styling.
We wanted to fix that — to organize hairstyle ideas in a way that helps readers move from “I like this look” to “I know whether this look will work for me.”
What We Cover
Our content is organized around the questions readers actually search for:
- Haircut and hairstyle ideas across short, medium, and long lengths
- Styles for different hair types — straight, wavy, curly, fine, thick, and textured
- Age-focused guides, including hairstyles for women over 40, 50, 60, and 70
- Face-shape guides for oval, round, square, and oblong faces
- Hair color trends, including balayage, highlights, and dimensional brunette and blonde tones
- Comparison guides that explain how similar cuts (shag vs. wolf cut, lob vs. bob, etc.) actually differ
- Hair care basics, styling tips, and product-related content where it helps readers make better decisions
How We Work
Hairstyle Picks is a small operation. Content is planned, written, and edited by our editorial team, with input from working hairstylists who help us think through cut structure, styling effort, and how different looks translate across hair types.
We use AI-assisted tools for parts of the writing process — outlining, formatting, and editorial organization. Every published post is reviewed and edited by our editorial team before it goes live. We’re transparent about this because we think readers deserve to know how the content they’re reading is made.
For technical hair questions, we always recommend consulting a licensed stylist in person. Our content is meant to help you explore options and ask better questions, not replace a real consultation.
Image Sourcing
Images on Hairstyle Picks come from a mix of licensed stock photography, AI-generated visuals with commercial rights, and content from working hairstylists with attribution.
We are actively reviewing legacy image sources and replacing any content that does not meet our current sourcing standards.
If you believe an image of yours appears on this site and you’d like it removed or properly licensed, please contact us at contact@hairstylepicks.com and we will respond within 48 hours.
The Team
Melissa Williams — Editor

Melissa leads editorial at Hairstyle Picks. Her work focuses on planning content that’s organized, useful, and genuinely helpful, turning hairstyle inspiration into guides readers can actually use.
She’s especially interested in age-focused hairstyle content, layered cuts, and the small details that determine whether a style works in everyday life.
Brielle Carter — Contributing Hairstylist

Brielle contributes hairstyling perspective to Hairstyle Picks, with a particular interest in cuts that bring movement and lightness to hair that feels flat or hard to style.
Her input helps shape how we describe haircut structure, styling effort, and how trending cuts translate across different hair types.
